Mental In The Mountains registered for the Colorado Relay on October 19, 2007. We have been on the run since then! It continues to amaze me just how far we have all come. I have developed some wonderful friendships that I don't think would have flourished without our weekly runs. I have said it over and over, but I am proud to be running with such an awesome group of gals!
At this time next Friday night I should be running leg # 18, leaving Wolcott and heading West. I'm sure I'll be tired and a little sore and a little weary of the night run, but off I will go.
We have 2 great van drivers. Jeff and Rodney. These guys are our super heroes! What man in his right mind agrees to wear a completely pink outfit complete with rhinestones and feathers and drive a van full of stinky, tired women around the state of Colorado at all hours of the day and Night? The answer would be the 2 goofballs that are nutty enough to marry Amy and I! Thankfully the boys are good sports. We couldn't do this race without them. Hopefully no one tells them exactly what they are in for before next Friday!
The donations continue to come in. We are just over $4000, creeping ever closer to the $4500 mark. Thank you for your lovely words of encouragement. We are proud to run in Memory of Christy and to honor her life and her children! Thank you for helping us achieve our goals!
